Harrisburg, PA — As reports of unused COVID-19 funds continue to surface, and comments about a politically motivated attempt to slow down testing make national headlines, Scott Perry has failed to speak out on behalf of Pennsylvanians.
“My opponent’s silence, as the health of Pennsylvanians is being put second to Washington politics, is an unequivocal dereliction of duty. Congressman Perry should be demanding transparency on every step of the coronavirus response, from the use of taxpayer funds to how tests are being conducted,” said Eugene DePasquale. “The people of PA-10 deserve a representative that wakes up every day thinking about how to make government work for families, not the other way around. That is what I have done throughout my time in public service, and that is what I’ll do as the next congressman for this district.”
As Pennsylvania Auditor General, Eugene DePasquale performed a series of audits ahead of the COVID-19 crisis, highlighting the need for improved regulation and oversight of Pennsylvania nursing homes.
