EUGENE DEPASQUALE SIGNIFICANTLY OUTRAISES CONGRESSMAN SCOTT PERRY IN Q2 AND BEGINS GENERAL ELECTION WITH CASH ON HAND ADVANTAGE

The Race Considered the Most Competitive in the State, Eugene DePasquale Outraised Congressman Scott Perry by over $180,000 and Begins the General Election with a Clear Cash On Hand Advantage

At the close of 2nd Quarter filing, Eugene DePasquale leads incumbent Congressman Scott Perry in both amount raised and cash-on-hand advantage. From April 1st to June 30th, DePasquale raised $650,260 compared to Perry’s $469,375. Additionally, DePasquale now has more cash-on-hand than Perry, after accounting for outstanding debts, $985,014 to $903,444. An incumbent trailing a challenger in cash on hand reserves this late in the cycle is exceedingly rare in a competitive race.

DePasquale for Congress Communications Director, Kunal Atit released the following statement:

This latest fundraising report makes clear what our campaign has known from the start, people are excited about Eugene’s candidacy, his message, and are ready for a representative in Washington who will stand up for them and against the political insiders and corporations that exploit our system,” said Atit. “Congressman Scott Perry is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with the Washington status quo. At every turn of this crisis he has chosen the special interests who fund his campaign over his constituents. In November we look forward to sending Eugene to Congress to hold Washington and its politicians accountable and Scott Perry into retirement.”
